Refined Ideas and Conclusion

User testing and feedback

"I think it's safe to say the client was happy! The pic is attached. It's currently printed at a width of 250mm if you'd like to put it up to 100% so you can see exactly how big the detail will be. And we need a University of Worcester down the sleeve. The maximum length this can be is 280mm. It could be done in 2 presses if that really isn't big enough, but I'm trying to keep workload to a minimum and it's already quite complicated."

So finally I amended to this spec, adjusting the smaller details so they could but cut/weeded more efficiently and also created the typography for the length of the sleeve to be done in 2 presses. These final designs were then sent off and I have just been waiting for the next step or further feedback from the client.

Conclusion

I thoroughly enjoyed this brief, being the art style and theme it was. My biggest enthusiasm in design is being able to to enhance the work with a quirk or character, I also deeply love tattoo art so to merge my favourite art styles in to creating a illustrated version of the University's Campus Cat filled me with a massive sense of pride and also responsibility...trying to make sure I could pull it off and that the uni actually like the design representation. N
ow we just can't wait to watch them all "fly off the rails" in SU shop once they've all been dispatched, as the client put it!
